Creations By Lynda - Black Friday Haul

Now I know Black Friday was a while ago. But I felt that in order to give my honest opinion on these lovelies I got from Lynda over at Creations by Lynda I had to thoroughly test them out. I bought all of these beauties with my own money and of course the following opinion is my own.
Here are the beauties that I got :

I've been needing a good cuticle oil with this harsh winter weather and all I had was some Sally's stuff that I bought a long time ago so I felt that I had to properly treat myself with some nice cuticle oil!
Now, I've heard many lovely things about Lynda's cuticle oil and had to try some when she had a deal going on for Black Friday. One of the deals included the lovely polish above.

First, let's start with the cuticle oil. I LOVE cucumber so Cucumber Melon was the first one I tried. The scent is absolutely delightful, not to overpowering but still leaves a cucumber-melon-y smell for a bit after you put it on. Compared to my Sally's stuff, this soaked in very fast and made my cuticles go from YUCK to PICTURE PERFECT in only one use! This is obviously my first indie cuticle oil but I will absolutely be going back when I run out of these two. I smelled the Green Tea and Lemongrass cuticle oil, but have yet to use it as I'm saving it as my back up.
Over all, the cuticle oil was an A+ in my book!

Now for the Polish!

2 Coats of Winter has Come over 2 Coats of Revlon-Charming

This glitter topper was absolutely gorgeous (p.s, my cuticles look lovely in this pictures thanks to only 2 days of cuticle oil use!)
My only complaint that I had was when I first opened the bottle, is that there was a bunch of glitter that was gooped up toward the opening of the bottle. I just took a napkin and tried my best to swipe up as much goopy glitter as I could and all was well again. The polish formula itself was easy to work with and reached this opacity in 2 coats. The white glitter mixed with the irredescent glitter make this look like a winter wonder land and despite the goopy top problem, this polish was gorgeous!

I'm so happy I purchased this and would definitely recommend Lynda for her cuticle oil and unique blend of polishes!

Ombre, ole!

Whenever I think of Ombre, I think of people saying OLE OLE OLE OLE! So whenever I say ombre I secretly say OMBRE, OMBRE OMBRE OMBRE!
Anyways, We have some ombre nail arts for you all today!

I mostly just mixed the colors myself from the base color or the color after it to make it a smidge darker. Righty's blue and lefties purple.

I've been a BAD blogger though, haven't posted since sunday bunday! Like I said on my Facebook post, I've started a new project creating my fancy shawl and I've also been mixing polishes all week. I've got ten lovelies to add to the shop!
I've also sent out all of the halloween collection blogger goody bags, YAY!

I'll be posting again for sunday bunday!

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Purple

I was a bit lazy this week so I have TWO purple nail designs because one was just a swatch and the other has just been rotting in my unposted folder.

So here we go!

First up is this swatch! China Glaze - Fancy Pants

This is 2 coats and my, my it's such a shimmery little fun fest on the nails! I managed to catch a hint of that pink that shimmers in the right lights. This is 2 coats with top coat to help the shimmer.

Now next up is the nail art! I posted a swatch Revlon - Charming last month and did some nail art with that but never posted it so here it is!

I played with matte and top coat and then added the little diamonds because I felt like it needed more...

Here's a bit more of the contrast..

...and then I felt like it was missing something else so I added the lines and I think it looks a little bit much more better!

Be sure to check out all the other girls purple nails below!

I Love Nail Polish - Purple Stuff and Revlon - Charming

Hi all!

I was super excited when my parents came back from vacation in Florida because PRESENTS!!!
Presents for me woohoo! I got many things from clothes to shells and of course, nail polish!

I received a bunch of Revlon polish, and I was surprised to see that I didn't have any in my current stash!

I, of course, used the most springy of the shades that I received because even though we just got a bucket of snow (putting a dampening on my spring-mood!) I still have spring in my mind.

This is Revlon - Charming under I Love NP - Purple Stuff :

I wish the photo would have turned out better! This is such a pretty purple glitter. There's so many purples and the white bar and hex's make the mix so unique. This is 4 Coats of Charming and 2 Coats of Purple Stuff. I did mess around with the placement of the large purple squares so they wouldn't be all clumped in one area, but other than that application was wonderful. Charming was a little streaky so it took 4 coats to make it all even.

And of course, Here's Charming on it's own. It's so...charming :

I want to mess around with using glue as a base for glitters so as to make my own peel off polish for easier removal. We'll see how it works out later this week!
