Freehand Mermaid Nail Art

Hello all and Happy Sunday Bunday!

Along with the bun buns that I have for you today, I decided to do some mermaid scale nail art. I've done this design before on a couple of nail sets in my shop and decided to try it out on my real nails.

Though, it was a sad day, because my black migi nail art pen got backed up and whilst trying to clean it out, I accidently broke the little needle cleaner..in the pen..So it's a big ol' useless tube of polish now.

I already had the polish on and ready before I realized my dilemma, so came a gel pen to the rescue!

I used Zoya - Mimi and Zoya - Charla, both from the Sparkle Collection and then whipped out my gel pen and BAM, mermaid scales!

I LOVED the Wizard of Oz when I was younger and she was my second favorite character to Dorothy. I played Dorothy in my 5th grade play of the Wizard of Oz. I had the outfit (That I THINK my mom made..) and even the ruby pumps!

Bunday Reminder!

Rosey Posies

Hello everybun! Happy Sunday Bunday!

For todays Sunday Bunday I don't have any buns but I do have some pretty roses that were inspired from Work Play Polish!

BTW I've changed my watermark and I'm doing better with my photographing and stuff, so I hope my images are looking a little bit better.

The pink flower was my favorite, but my pointer finger got smudged with the red and I didn't have time to fix it so not I think it looks blah :(

Of course WPP did much better but I love this design so much I will definitely try it out again!

The Black I used was Zoya - Raven. BEST BLACK I'VE EVER USED IN MY LIFE!

I had to take pictures of it alone just because it was so beautiful!

There's a super pretty slight grey shimmer that you can only see when you examine it closely and the formula was as smooth as butter. I almost don't want to use it until I get a back up bottle because it's honestly the best black I've ever used!

Pow Wow Pow!

Hello everybun!
Ugh, I missed Sunday Bunday (make up pictures will be at the end of this post!) but again, I have a very good reason for it and I'll show you why!

That's right! My first Polish from the Native American Collection. Well, this is actually the second in the line but I really wanted to show you guys this one first!

Pow Wow Pow is a super packed rainbow explosion of color. There's literally almost every color of glitter I own in here. There's black, silver, ROYGBIV, it's all here! It's called pow wow pow because at Pow Wow's there is always so much color going on, sometimes it's overwhelming!

I used the dab method above to create this gradient and I used Sinful Colors - Secret Admirer as a base. Even though I created this, I was surprised with how much I got with each pulling up of the brush! So it is jam packed with glitter! On my swatch stick it took 2 coats for a decent opacity where the undercolor popped through (I used yellow) but the glitter didn't overpower it.

 I spent all of yesterday mixing glitters and filling the bottles with glitter. There are 5 polishes in this collection of 5 bottles each. 

Since there is a lot to write about the blogger sample sets that I'm going to be mixin and makin soon, I'll just make a separate blog post about that! 

So yeah, I was super busy yesterday making sure all the labels were cool and making sure all the glitter was correctly proportioned and MAN is my back sore from moving around all day!

So, Sunday Bunday on a Monday, here we go!

Ohmybun everyone hello!

I must interrupt the regularly scheduled ER31DC to inform you of WHY I'm interupting the ER31DC!

Okay, so the story begins with me and The man going to the mall. We went and we were looking at all the Buns and puppies as we usually do. Ohmygoodness all of the poor bunnies there were shoved 3 to a cage and some of them were in the cages that birds were usually in. I saw this adorable little bunny being really adorable and I could NOT stop goo goo and ga gaing at her. I convinced The man that I HAD to have her and alas

Little Paprika came home with us! She's all situated. And you see those little bars for her cage? She can fit through them! Harvey has free hop of a huge space and I know damn well that since she is only 6 weeks old Its not wise to let her 1) have free hop space with him and 2) allow her too much space. I don't want to overwhelm her and I want her to get used to use first. Then I'll slowly introduce her.

She loves nose rubs and laying in her litter box as well as eating hay and she ACTUALLY likes being held!

So I have to situate this little girl first before I can accomplish nail things! Meanwhile, I'll post an unposted when I can!

This Sunday Bunday I actually have actual nail art of actual bunnies! As some of you know, I have my own little lop named Harvey. Well Harvey is a member of Bunspace and he has a lot of bunny friends.

I've been wanting to do bunny nail art for a long time and finally I decided to just go for it! But I couldn't do just any bunnies, I had to do bunnies that I knew!

and here they are! Possum was really fun to do! Maurice, the bunny with the mustache, looks angry! Lancie turned out really pretty!

Sunday Bunday and Upcoming Giveaway Announcement!

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday Bunday!

Unfortunately, I do not have a nail design for today's Sunday Bunday, but on the flip side I do have a bunderful announcement for you all!

The Giveaway for the opening of Leesha's Lacquer on etsy is almost here!

The giveaway is really a double giveaway, I will have two different posts with two different types of stufff to give away! One post will be dedicated to nail polish and nail stuff and the other will be dedicated to make up and beauty products. I know some girls would prefer the beauty and some prefer the nail stufff so I decided to chop up the giveaway into two different raffle copters so you can enter in one giveaway or the other or both if you'd like! This is to ensure that you all get what you want and there is no confusion over which prize you will get. Again, you can enter both giveaways if you'd like, there's no restrictions on that. I'll be researching further this week into oversea shipping and when the giveaway comes I'll let you all know whether this giveaway is open internationall (fingers crossed!)

Butterfly Bunday

Hello and Happy Cinco de Mayo as well as Sunday Bunday!

Regarding this mani. Have you ever had those days where you polish your nails and nothing is turning out right? This mani was the result of 3, yes 3, failed mani's and finally I was just like EFF IT *ANGRY SLATHERING OF NAIL POLISH* *ANGRY CREATION OF THE FIRST THING THAT POPS INTO MY HEAD* *ANGRY REMOVAL OF THE STUPID SWIRLY DESIGN* *ANGRY REPOLISH AND DESIGN OF THE NEXT THING THAT POPS INTO MY HEAD*

I'm not proud of it but it was all I could pull off in such angry circumstances!

Even as I put my blog watermark on it I thought to myself, Why bother, no one would wish to steal these anyway!

In a happier occasion, we shall all now view the wonderful, the furry, the I-tear-up-mommies-carpet-because-I'm-bored-even-though-I-have-at-least-twenty-toys, the one and only HARVEY!

Not to mention he enjoys tearing up his bed too! Exhibit A in the picture above.

BTW, he's licking his piggy in the bottom picture, he loves licking soft things like piggy and ducky and his bed!

Sunday Bunday : Spring Edition

Why hello and Happy Spring (Finally!)

Today it was actually nice and sort of hot in fact. The high was 74 degrees! We've actually been in quite a cold slump lately and this weathers definitely making me feel springy!

And what, of course, is the typical sign of spring? Flowers!

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers! Inspired by This, this this skirt (okay, I'm overkill on the repetition, nixing it now!)

The colors I used for this were

Maybelline Color Show - Born With It  as the base

Wet n Wild - Ebony Hates Chris  as the black

and

Sinful Colors - Canary Yellow  as, obviously, the yellow

And as per usual, it IS Sunday Bunday : Harvey's Day!

Lazy Sunday Bunday

Happy Sunday Bunday, Lovelys!

Sunday, to me, means Lazy and Lazy means P.J's, so what more of a fitting theme to have on Sunday Bunday than a P.J inspired mani!

As a side note, I must note that dialect differs so I feel I should clarify what P.J's are. 

Once in school a while back we had a foreign exchange student who just so happened to arrive during our school spirit week. Each day was a different theme leading up to the homecoming football game and Monday's theme of that week was P.J Day. Well, not knowing what P.J's were and I'm sure she was to afraid to ask, she came to school in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich themed outfit. She looked like a walking sandwich I kid you not, from head to toe in beige with a purple shirt underneath. I question to this day why the student who hosted her let her walk out the door looking like a sandwich.

P.J's are not Peanut butter and Jellies. 

P.J's are Pajamas, Jammies, Nightwear, Sleep suits, whatever you want to call em' , they're the things you wear when you go to sleep!

Now on to more of the nail art, which is what you've come here for and NOT in fact a story of my high school years!

Of course I can't jip you out of the whole point of Sunday Bunday so here is the one and only, Harvey!
