Glinda the Good Witch! Nail Art Part II

Hey everybun!
One of my most popular post seems to be this one, from over a year ago with some Wizard of Oz nail art. I did some Glinda the Good Witch nails, and looking back, I feel that my nail art skills have improved vastly, and so has my photography.
For the funs of it, I decided to recreate this look to compare the two!

Zoya Simple Sideways French

Hey everybun!
Happy Humpday.
Lazy me doesn't have much to post, since I have 2 new collections ready to roll out, I've been lacking on the nail art/polish as well as my Friday Find posts.
BUT, I have something for you today, so that's all that matters, right?!

Zoya Ombre

Hey everybun!
College, the State Fair, my sister's art show AND some major cleaning have all rendered me useless in the nail art world. I wanted to have some super boss nails for school, but I was only able to crank this out the night before class (when I should have been sleeping!).
I used all Zoya's with my thumb and ring being textured "accent" nails.

Zoya - Dream Swatch and Review

Hey everybunny!
Today, I'll be enjoying my day at Valleyfair, which is the local amusement park, so I'm currently writing this the night before.
For the occasion, I decided to try my hand (haha!) at this beautiful holographic polish by Zoya called Dream.

Valentines Day Mani #2 - Before and After

Hello all!
I've had a multitude of doctors appointments this week so I'm so sorry for the lack of posting. In other news, I had something set up with one of those deal websites and they completely and utterly cancelled on me, saying that they no longer sell beauty products, such as nail polish, because they had other problems with it in the past. Now these people literally just contacted me on the 15th of January. They didn't bother at all to tell me, after I bought over $200 in mini polish bottles and supplies, that they no longer wished to sell my product. I had to contact THEM and even then, they stopped responding to my emails after I told them that I put hours of effort and lots of money into creating mini grab bags that they requested from ME.
Ugh! I was so upset when this happened, I just made a whole new set of polishes I was so angry!
I guess I'm just left with 300 bottles of minis..I'll figure something cool out to do with them though.
Anyways, here's something a little bit more happy for you, some valentines day nail art WITH a before that I did when I first started my blog and after!

Pinks I used: China Glaze : Passion for Petals, Sinful Colors : Outrages, Dream On and Island Coral
Base color : Zoya : Storm
I think my first attempt is an absolute FAIL but I really like how it came out this time around. I'll have one more before and after valentines day nail art before the valentines grand finale!
Have a happy, happy Friday ya'll!

One Stroke Nail Art

Hello All!
Now, This was my first time dabbling into the one stroke world. I am normally awful with painting. The paints, as much as I will them to move in the way I want, refuse to cooperate with my brush strokes. So you can see how I was nervous to try this beautiful and seemingly easy technique.
After a few (ahem, an hours worth of..) flubs with my test nail, I grudgingly  decided that it was time to begin on my real nails. The results turned out..

..better than expected! Though I DID go to a Panic! At the Disco concert yesterday (which was awesome by the way! Brand Urie is just..<333), so I had to do both hands..I was much to embarrassed to take a picture of the mess that was my right hand.

The base color is Zoya - Storm and, of course, the rest is acrylic paint.

Another fun fact, I ALWAYS have flowers in the house. They're usually just chillin' on my kitchen table because there's nowhere else to really put them but I LOVE flowers and cannot go without them to liven up the room. I get sad when they die and I have to throw them away, but then I'm just off to Sams Club to get another bunch!
I hope you all enjoyed my first attempt at one stroke and the pretty little flower shots!
Happy Humpday and I'll see ya'll again on Friday (My 20th Birthday :D)

Freehand Mermaid Nail Art

Hello all and Happy Sunday Bunday!
Along with the bun buns that I have for you today, I decided to do some mermaid scale nail art. I've done this design before on a couple of nail sets in my shop and decided to try it out on my real nails.
Though, it was a sad day, because my black migi nail art pen got backed up and whilst trying to clean it out, I accidently broke the little needle cleaner..in the pen..So it's a big ol' useless tube of polish now.
I already had the polish on and ready before I realized my dilemma, so came a gel pen to the rescue!

I used Zoya - Mimi and Zoya - Charla, both from the Sparkle Collection and then whipped out my gel pen and BAM, mermaid scales!

Have a wonderful Sunday Bunday everybun!

My Christmas Red - Zoya Blaze

Hey everyone! A special Happy Holiday's and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it today!
I made certain that I didn't have too much of an intricate nail art design because I'm off on vacation tomorrow and would hate to have Christmas nails the entire time I'm away, or worse, have to take them all off so soon!
So I made do with a pretty Holo red named Zoya Blaze

Isn't this scattered holo gorgeous? I loved that they added a little pizzazz to a brilliant bright red, making this polish a Christmas plus. I believe I also have time to do a quick switcheroo tonight before I leave on vacation, so as to have more vacation-esque nails.

Don't worry, I'm leaving you all in loving hands, I can't wait for you all to see the fantastic guest posts that are coming up while I'm gone!

See you all next year!

Zoya Pixie Dust - Tomoko Swatch

Hey all! I have an older swatch that has been sitting around in my unposted folder for quite some time now.
I feel like it's very much relevant as it's coming up on the holidays and Tomoko is a beautiful gold to showcase for them!

I absolutely love the Pixie Dust collection and this one was no different for me, it was love all the way!

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday. I ordered wayyy to many nail polishes and nail polish making accessories so I'll be sitting by the stairs, adamantly waiting for the mail man to come!

Broken heart :(

Well, I don't have a broken heart, but my nails sure do. This mani is dedicated righty, pointer finger. Rest in pieces, wherever you are righty! This broken heart's for you!

I used a Migi nail art pen for the hearts
and
Zoya - Claudine as the base
I guess it's more of a broken, mosaic heart, but what evs. I also didn't want to COMPLETELY bring the mood down with my broken nail, so I added hearts on the other nails!

I suppose all is well, since I use acrylic, all I had to do was add an extension and re-sculpt, something most of you ladies unfortunately do not have the pleasure of doing when you get a break!

OO OO OO! Also, after I discovered my broken nail, I got this AWESOME review from Gnarly Gnails (all happiness was instantly restored!)
Check out her swatch of Song of the Seas ..

Be sure to check out the rest of her review here as well as an awesome coupon code just for her readers!
(I'm literally squeeing to see my polish on her nails! SQUEE!)

See you all soon. (I have a black friday deal up my sleeve that I think you all will love!)

Glinda the Good Witch!

12/22/14 EDIT: I re-did these nails just for fun and to see how my nail art compares to a year ago. You can see my comparison post HERE.
You may continue :D

Happy SUNDAY BUNDAY! Yay! woo! Hurray! I remember!
Good job! So cool!

Anyways, For today's Sunday Bunday I decided to do some Wizard of Oz nail arts because that's what the weekly challenge is in the NPL Community on Google+.

Zoya - Gie Gie
Zoya - Trixie

Glinda the Good Witch!

I LOVED the Wizard of Oz when I was younger and she was my second favorite character to Dorothy. I played Dorothy in my 5th grade play of the Wizard of Oz. I had the outfit (That I THINK my mom made..) and even the ruby pumps!

and of course here are the Bunz.
Enjoy your Sunday Bunday!

Troves of Triangles

Hey everybun.

Happy Wednesday!

I wasn't going to originally do nail arts for today, I was just going to do a swatch for Zoya - Jacqueline. Until I grabbed a paint brush and whipped out my acrylic paint. THAT,my friends, is how random nail arts happen.

Triangles! Yes, it really is a trove of triangles. I used a tiny striper brush and just kind of went at it with the triangles in acrylic paint.

And here is the swatch of Jacqueline that started it all!

Jacqueline is a pretty little nude cream. Above is 3 coats with Seche top coat. Come to think of it, I remember getting that little nick on my middle finger and that's the reason for the nail arts, because I was sad of the nick!

I'll be back Friday with possibly more nail arts...I haven't decided yet..Okay yeah, more nail arts!

Hello and Goodbye - Vacay Nails!

Hello Everybun!

Confused by the title?
Well, It turns out that as you are reading this my plane has just taken off. I scheduled this post at the exact moment that it leaves. I am off to Mexico!

But have no fear! I have a bunch of posts scheduled, GUEST POSTS in fact!

So since I'm off on vacay, of course I had to do nails for the occasion!

My base color is Zoya - Mimi and the rest is all acrylic paint.

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to do Mexico nails or something cute and floral. As you can see I picked the latter.

I'll see you all in two weeks but as I said, Have no fear! Guest posts are going to be up as well as a few manis of mine that have been unposted for a while. Also, I usually post Monday, Wednesday, Friday and sometimes sunday but while I'm gone it will be Tuesday/Thursday only.

Regarding the guest posts, I know some people write a little bit before it but I'd like to let the posts talk for themselves, So as a precursor, THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO GUEST POSTED FOR ME!

Carry on !

Sally Hansen - Anemone of Mine and Zoya - Trixie Gradient

Hello lovelies!

I am back! Back with a beautiful, gorgeous gradient. Okay actually it isn't my best...the photos came out all blurry and the gradient didn't sponge that well but it's all I got at the moment. Hopefully you will think it's much prettier than I do!

The Purple is Sally Hansen - Anemone of Mine
The Silver is Zoya - Trixie

These new Sally Hansen bottles are soo pretty but the brushes are kind of wide which made for weird application. And as usual Zoya worked beautifully, even with my crappy sponging.

Sometimes I don't know what to say at the end of blog posts so I leave you with this terrible, awful joke.

This morning I tried to catch some fog, I mist.

Zoya - Gie Gie Swatch and Review

Hello lovelies,

I have a simple swatch and review for you today of Zoya - Gie Gie!

Gie Gie is a beautiful pink creamy shimmer. Of course application was smooth as butter as is usual with Zoya  polishes. This is 3 coats with Seche Vite top coat.

I love this ballerina pink. Its a lovely, lovely shade and with my now 300+ polishes, I was surprised that I didn't have any pink like this (60+ of my polishes are pink). I love pink and this is seriously one of my favorites as of now!
From the smooth and perfect application to the pretty, pretty color this is definitely a go!
