Wet n Wild Wild Shine - Red Red Swatch and Review

Hey there everybun!
Although I completely destroyed these nails making nail polish the very next day, I thought I'd still share with you a few beautiful shots while it was alive and pretty!

This is just 1(!!!) coat of Red Red with 1 coat of Out the Door top coat. Not only is this one of the most gorgeous and brightest reds I own, the formula was amazing. I couldn't believe it was just a one coat-er!

I was able to pick this baby up on sale for 99 cents, but I believe they are regularly $1.99, at least they were at the Walgreens I got this at.
I am absolutely excited to try the rest of these new Wild Shine colors!
Thanks for stopping by!

Winter is Coming full collection swatches ! - Leesha's Lacquer

Hey everybun!
It's been a busy couple of weeks here, in prep for my Winter is Coming Collection!
I have some special swatches for you all today, all done by me. Excuse the lack of posts, I've actually had naked nails for a little over a week! During busy Leesha's Lacquer periods, I tend to do my nails less since there's really no point in doing them if I'm just going to ruin them making nail polish!
Anyways, here are the swatches!

  Red Wedding - Two Coats

Wild as Fire - Two Coats

  Icy Star - Two Coats

Amethyst Killed the Bastard - Two thicker coats (three thin would work well)

Dragon Scale's - Two Coats

  Red Viper - Two Coats

Mother of Dragons - Two Coats

Winter is Coming - Two Coats

Excuse the quality, if there's any difference I can't really tell. I'm posting from my iPad, which is not ideal, but you do what you have to when you realize you haven't posted in almost a full couple of weeks and you're sitting on a slew of pics from your newest collection!

Pre-Order for my collection is open NOW and you can find my shop at the link (http://www.leeshaslacquer.etsy.com)! The official release date is April 12th.

Thanks for stopping by everybun!

Leesha's Lacquer Trans-Fab Transylvania Collection

Hey there everybun!
So I have a wonderful new collection coming out inspired by that sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania!
Here's a look at what I'm working with here, 2 full coverages, a jelly and 2 glitter toppers.

I haven't made the full color announcement yet, because I have something super special planned on my IG (@leeshaslacquer , if you so care to find out!), but when I do, I'll be sure to post it here too!

Now, since this is my blog, my polish and I can do whatever it is that I want with both, I've decided to show you all a sneak preview of one of the polishes from the collection called We're All Lucky.

We're All Lucky is a full coverage polish that is opaque in 2 thicker coats, or three thin. It's really hard to capture in words this color, since it leans burgundy in dim lighting, deep red/orange in natural lighting and bronze/red in normal lighting.

The Trans-Fab Transylvania Collection is set to be released March 15th.

I can't wait to show you all the full collection, and thank you all very much for stopping by!

BinChic's Boutique's Thermal - The Trickster Swatch

Hey everybun!

I have a little update HERE regarding where I've been lately.
On that note, I have a new to me indie brand that has sent me four lovely polishes to test and review. Each polish will have its own post because they're just so beautiful!

Here is the first of four polishes called The Trickster.

In it's transmission from green to orange. In the sunlight, I actually think it looks more yellow!

The Trickster is an Orange to Green thermal polish that is Orange when cold and Green when warm. I used two thicker coats without top coat.

In the Warm state

In the Cold state!

I really love this polish as it was my first thermal and I was a little afraid that it wouldn't work on my acrylics, but SURPRISE! It did!

BinChic is 5- free, hailing from Camrose, Canada.
You can find The Trickster for $4.95 for Mini's and $7.42 for full size.

Find BinChic on FB
and at their Etsy Shop

Leesha's Lacquer - 2/3 Polishes from the Valentines Day Trio

Hey everybunny!

So, my Birthday was this past Saturday, and I knew my nails had to be special for my special day.
What a better way to celebrate than with 2 out of 3 of my new polishes from my Valentines Day Trio!

Here is a first look at Sweet Passion and Cupid's Arrow.

Cupid's Arrow is a fiery red holo with tons of sparkle.
Cupid's Arrow is a Sparkly crelly with red, gold and pink glitters with a dash of holo.

I reached full opacity for both polishes in only two coats!
I don't mean to toot my own horn, but this crelly is absolutely to DIE for. It has the perfect amount of glitter, reaches full opacity in only two coats and has the perfect amount of depth.

I can't wait for these polishes to be released, Pre-Orders for the full trio are open now and you can find the listing HERE!

See you all soon with a something special!

Leesha's Lacquer - Welcome to the Freakshow

Hello there, everybun and Happy Monday!
I sort of copped out and took the lazy route today, since all I have for you is a swatch of one of my polishes from The American Horror Story Inspired Collection.
I figured, hey, I need a swatch pic for my shop AND something for my Monday post, so why not kill two polishes with one glitter? I totally made that up, and IT MAKES SENSE...

On to the swatches, shall we?

This is two coats over OPI - Cement the Deal
There are so many different types of glitter in this polish. If I were to have to guess, I would say there are over 50 types of glitters in various shapes and sizes. This polish was inspired by the latest season of American Horror Story, Freakshow and is thus called Welcome to the Freakshow.
You can find this polish right HERE in my shop, in full size or in mini!

Thanks for stopping by, everybun!

Guest Post #2 - WorkingWithMonolids - Notoriously Morbid Swatches

Hello everybun, this time our guest post is from Cora of workingwithmonolids. You all know indie nail polish is a thing (I sure do hope!), but did you know about indie eyeshadow? Well soon you will! Thank you so much Cora! Now to the post!
______________________
I'd like to introduce everyone to an indie store that makes eyeshadows, Notoriously Morbid. Like many awesome indie stores, they're cruelty free. They do have some non-vegan colours though!

Packaging-wise, the mini sizes doesn't come with a sifter seal, and the labels are just printed paper and therefore, not waterproof. So packaging-wise, they're just functional.

I now do ingredient checks on my indie eyeshadows, and I did notice they have colours contained no binders at all:

Screenshot taken on Nov 16, 2014

However, I out of a random sample of 20 colours and only found 1 colour that didn't contain any binders. For my check, what I did was open 20 colours in a row without looking at the colour/name/description and then reading the ingredients. It's not the most perfect method but it gives you a rough idea. So for most part, I think it's safe to purchase from them as long as you check the ingredients. For a guide to ingredients and why you need binders in eyeshadows, you can check out my post here.

So here are the swatches! The swatches on the right is under natural light, the one on the left is under artificial light to show off the shift.

Over Darling Girl's Glitter Glue:

The Grand Empress actually turns blue as you blend it out!

Over NYX's HD Eye Primer

Applied foiled with water (like all pigmented loose powder shadows, this method can be staining):

There's no mistake. Melancholy One turns blue when applied wet, I was surprised too.

Now this is where I'm impressed...over bare skin:

Leesha's Lacquer - Sweater Weather

These potatoe quality photos are from the craft show a couple of Friday's ago.
I managed to sell out of all the Sweater Weather's that I had in stock with these nails, so that's a plus!

Sinful Colors - Matte About Blue Swatch and Review

Hey everybun! Happy Bunday Monday.
As I said last week, I have weeks worth of polish to stored up in my polish folder. We'll be starting with this little lovely by Sinful Colors, Matte about Blue.
My local K-Mart is closing down and everything is 30% off, and you'll NEVER guess what I gravitated towards. Can you guess? If your answer is anything but polish, then you're wrong!
I was very interested to see that Sinful Colors had a matte/silk collection and this was the last one on the shelf!

This past Thursday, I went to a Paloma Faith concert and I could think of no other polish to wear than Leading Lady by Essie!

Perfect Fall Matte! Finger Paints - Film Noir Swatch and Review

Hey everybun!
I know my blogs been sort of dead lately, but lots of exciting things have been happening in my part of the nail world, so forgive me!
I have so many cool announcements coming up for this next week, and I'm bursting with excitement!
Before I jump ahead of myself, let's take a step back and discuss the impending doom that is Fall.
Don't get me wrong, I love fall in it's own way, but summer's my JAM and I'm sad to see it go so fast.
With that, I must admit that I'm ALL up into the new shades for fall, and I believe that
I found the PERFECT matte fall shade, all by accident!

Leesha's Lacquer - Pin-Up - The Pinterest Collection

Hey there, lovely people of the internet.
Yesterday, I was feeling absolutely, totally and unequivocally UNINSPIRED. I know. It's insane and that's what my mind almost went until I decided to just grab whatever was closest to me on my desk. Eyes closed, I plunged into the depths of my desk and well-ah! Pin-Up looked me straight into the eyes!
Behold!

Bissu - Destellos De Atardecer (Flashes of Sunset) Swatch

Hello everybunny!

Happy Humpday!
I have an amazing swatch today of some nail polish that I got on my trip to Mexico last year. This brand, called Bissu, seems to be a polish that is quite popular as I always see it in shops in both Centro (downtown) and stores on the street. Mexico is a little bit hard to explain if you haven't been there, but I found many lovely things there and oh my goodness this polish is one of them.

Meet Destellos De Atardecer (which translates to Flashes of Sunset)

Jessica - Tangerine Dreamz

Hey everybun!

I've been a crazy woman lately, running around making last minute preparations and all that jazz for my craft show on Saturday. I'm amazed I was able to post anything this week and I'm continuing on being a good blogger by settling down for a minute to write this blog post!
By the way, if any of you lovely people are in Minnesota, specifically close to the Andover area, I'll post the info to the craft show at the end of this post so MAYBE I can meet some of you lovely ladies.
On to the post!

This is a new to me polish brand that I received in what I believe was a Nail Art Society package and I'm now just getting around to poking around with what was in the bag.

Essie - Fair Game Swatch and Review

Hey everybun!
I had a rare "let my nails breathe" couple of days this weekend hence the little break from posting. Alas, the acrylics are back and BEST OF ALL, NO MAJOR BREAKS WERE SUFFERED DURING MY BREAK!
I feel great with a fresh set of a acrylics to go, lemme show you what I got for you today.

Ooo, just LOOK at that shimmery goodness in the photo above.
Yes, may I introduce you all to Essie - Fair Game.

She was a lovely 2 coater with a great formula. I wore this for 3 days on both hands and although it was not a "I must stare at this all day", it was very pretty in certain lighting. Now I'm not sure if this is grey or blue, because it looks like a little of both. But the pretty shiny rainbow micro flecks that grace this lovely lacquer made me fall in love with it's subtlety.
I've yet to find an Essie that I DON"T love!

Happy Monday everybun!
