Rainbow Skye Lacquer - Swatch and Review

Hey everybun!
I debated hard, whether or not to post these swatches today, because I'm sure none of you have ever heard of Rainbow Skye Lacquer and there's a very good reason for that!
Let me explain..
I'm a part of an awesome Indie Nail Polish making group on Facebook and with that, I'm also a part of their Indie polish exchange. Well, the group isn't JUST for indie polish makers, it's also for indie hobby makers who either only make polishes for themselves or for their family and friends.
I received 4 polishes from one of these types of makers, therefore NONE of these polishes are on the market and NONE have been released to the public.
Well then why post this polish you ask? BECAUSE THEY'RE AMAZING!
The owner of Rainbow Skye has said that she's been thinking of starting to offer her polishes to the public and hopefully this blog post will push her to do so!
So, let's begin with one of the polishes I received, which is very halloween-y!

Perfect Fall Matte! Finger Paints - Film Noir Swatch and Review

Hey everybun!
I know my blogs been sort of dead lately, but lots of exciting things have been happening in my part of the nail world, so forgive me!
I have so many cool announcements coming up for this next week, and I'm bursting with excitement!
Before I jump ahead of myself, let's take a step back and discuss the impending doom that is Fall.
Don't get me wrong, I love fall in it's own way, but summer's my JAM and I'm sad to see it go so fast.
With that, I must admit that I'm ALL up into the new shades for fall, and I believe that
I found the PERFECT matte fall shade, all by accident!

Octopus Nail Art!

Hey everybun!
Happy final hours of Labor day! Did you all eat as much as I did? I still have so many leftovers, ima be eating them for days!
A while ago I was apart of an Indie maker exchange and the theme was purple. The other day I got my polish in the mail and OHMYGOODNESS I put it on right away. Thank you so much Live Life Polished for this lovely that I used as my base called Grape-Aide.

Zoya Ombre

Hey everybun!
College, the State Fair, my sister's art show AND some major cleaning have all rendered me useless in the nail art world. I wanted to have some super boss nails for school, but I was only able to crank this out the night before class (when I should have been sleeping!).
I used all Zoya's with my thumb and ring being textured "accent" nails.

Leesha's Lacquer Repin Rewind French Studs

Hey everybun!
It's been a crazy week dealing with preps for college (which starts on Monday D: ) and doing everything I can (like staying up late with my friends) before I have to get back in the groove of things.
For now, my posts may be a little less often but I vow that I've not forgotten about all of you's.
The nails I'm going to show you today are the beauties that I wore to the pow wow. Ready for awesomeness?!

Bam! These are super shiny sparklers. I used pink as my base on my thumb and ring and Repin Rewind on its own on the rest of my fingers.

These were a huge hit with my family up north, and I hope you all will love them just as much!
I'm writing this on mobile blogger, so I'll come back later to patch up the odd formatting.
I'll see you all soon!
- Love from, Leesha's Lacquer

Bissu - Destellos De Atardecer (Flashes of Sunset) Swatch

Hello everybunny!

Happy Humpday!
I have an amazing swatch today of some nail polish that I got on my trip to Mexico last year. This brand, called Bissu, seems to be a polish that is quite popular as I always see it in shops in both Centro (downtown) and stores on the street. Mexico is a little bit hard to explain if you haven't been there, but I found many lovely things there and oh my goodness this polish is one of them.

Meet Destellos De Atardecer (which translates to Flashes of Sunset)

Spring Mani (for a contest!)

Hey everyone!
I've had a flu/cold kicking my butt since Sunday, and I've finally felt well enough to get out of bed which means I've also felt well enough to do my nails! I've had this 2 Girls 20 Nails Spring Nail Art Competition in the back of my mind for the past week and got straight to a spring-ish mani today. Here's what I came up with:

I did a little gradient with some spring-y bright colors, then some one stroke flowers and wellah!

Here is my entry for the competition:

Happy Spring everybun!

Sing For Me by Yellowcard

Hey everyone!
Today..well..technically it will be yesterday by the time this is posted, was/is Mani Monday Challenge by Lynda. Today's theme was Inspired by a Love Song. I couldn't think of a love song so I asked Mr.LL and he recommended this song by Yellowcard. And I came up with this :

I couldn't find my white migi nail art pen so I did this all by hand with a tiny brush and I'm quite happy with how it came out! The background is inspired by the  Album:

I loved this theme and can't wait for next Monday's challenge!

Freehand Mermaid Nail Art

Hello all and Happy Sunday Bunday!
Along with the bun buns that I have for you today, I decided to do some mermaid scale nail art. I've done this design before on a couple of nail sets in my shop and decided to try it out on my real nails.
Though, it was a sad day, because my black migi nail art pen got backed up and whilst trying to clean it out, I accidently broke the little needle cleaner..in the pen..So it's a big ol' useless tube of polish now.
I already had the polish on and ready before I realized my dilemma, so came a gel pen to the rescue!

I used Zoya - Mimi and Zoya - Charla, both from the Sparkle Collection and then whipped out my gel pen and BAM, mermaid scales!

Have a wonderful Sunday Bunday everybun!

OPI - Alcatraz Rocks and NEW CAMERA!

Hey everyone!
If you've checked my Facebook recently you would have seen the adorable picture of the buns. You also would have heard that I got a brand new Nikon D3200. These are some of the first nail shots I've gotten with them and I feel that this polish was a perfect first test shot. All of that texture really helped me work out the settings and I am in LOVE with the quality of the pictures!

I'm not sure how ya'll feel about the bigger picture size but with all of the details that the camera captured , I might have to go back to the bigger size!
Anyways, enough about the camera, let's get to the polish! This is OPI - Alcatraz Rocks, a textured Blurple that was a part of OPI's San Francisco Collection. I love the rainbowy multi-faceted look that this polish gives off. The texture is wonderful as well, it's not too rough and I noticed with 3 days of wear the texture actually wears down quite a bit.

Over all, This polish is on key for every day or even special occasions. I'm also super happy with the current quality of my pictures... now, to redo the blog to a quality that I'd like!

P.S, Have the cutie bun pic that I was talking about at the top of this post!

KKCenterhk Review - Butterfly and Flower Water Decal

*This product was sent to me for review in exchange for my honest opinion

Hello everyone! Looks like my scheduled posts for last Wednesday and Friday didn't show up, so here's one of the two!

Today I have some really pretty water decals from KKCenterhk.
Since my last decal review, I knew I wanted to have a crack at reviewing some more decals. These are sooo easy to use and you can refer to my last post if you'd like to know the technicalities of how to apply these. The design I got this time is N.NAIL Glamorous Noble Elegant Purple Blue Rose Butterfly

This was the sheet I was sent and I was immediately excited to put these on. The flowers are so detailed and the butterflies were a nice added touch.

I used my own Dragon's Wings as a base coat and an unnamed Black Poppy as the accent nail.
These decals, just like the bunnies, applied wonderfully and this time I used my expertise and managed not to have any of the images crumple into little balls!
These decals are $2.56 and if you don't like this specific design they have TONS of flower designs as well as many other designs to your liking.

Never Mind Suzi Guest Post #3

Hello lovelies!

I'm back!  When Alicia asked me to guest on her blog again I was very happy to be asked. I even think it's helped to give me my mojo back a bit.

I decided to have a wee bit of a play with some nice nail art decals I bought in Penny's (Primark) in Dublin.

I started by painting my nails with the stunning Cygnus Loop from I ❤️ NP.  A beautiful duochrome that flashes blue and purple. Such majestic colours.

I chose these decals as they remind me of ice and they too have a duochrome effect. Almost pearlescent.

These nails are so pretty and winters, they'll look fab peeking out of my (fingerless) gloves as I enjoy the last day of the Christmas Market

Hope you've enjoyed my guest post and I hope that Alicia is enjoying her holiday.

Don't forget to check me out on:

Thanks Steph

Color Blocking

Look who's back! Its me!
I had finals all of last week and I still have a few left to go this week. I couldn't even think about doing any nail art with all of my studying going on, but now things are winding down and I'm back into the swing of things.
I have some color blocking nail art that was completely unplanned and sort of made up as I went along , but it came out cute in the end, so all is well that ends well, right?

I have a ton of nail art plans in my mind and Ill be pouring them out to make up for lost time!
See you all soon!

Ombre, ole!

Whenever I think of Ombre, I think of people saying OLE OLE OLE OLE! So whenever I say ombre I secretly say OMBRE, OMBRE OMBRE OMBRE!
Anyways, We have some ombre nail arts for you all today!

I mostly just mixed the colors myself from the base color or the color after it to make it a smidge darker. Righty's blue and lefties purple.

I've been a BAD blogger though, haven't posted since sunday bunday! Like I said on my Facebook post, I've started a new project creating my fancy shawl and I've also been mixing polishes all week. I've got ten lovelies to add to the shop!
I've also sent out all of the halloween collection blogger goody bags, YAY!

I'll be posting again for sunday bunday!

Galaxy Nails!

Hello everyone!
Today I have a quicky post but I have some EXCITING news that I'll be announcing in a little bit!

I did some galaxy nails a few days ago for the fun of it but instead of using the regular galaxy colors, I decided to jazz it up by doing it with pastel colors!

I used a crap ton of different glitter and sponged on Wet n Wild - I Need a Refresh-Mint and Wet n Wild - On a Trip.

Everybody get excited now! I'll be announcing my surprise soon!

Half a' Fishtail

Hello Everybun!

Happy, Happy Friday!
I'm at it, Night Blogging again!
Today I have a bit of a flashback. Remember this? Well I up and decided to recreate this again except this time I only did half a fishtail. (A bit lazy of me, no?)

As you may have suspected, I'm really lazy and have no intentions of running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to gather together the colors. However If anyone would like to know a specific color I'd be happy to go find it. Tomorrow. When I'm not so tired (Thank you Allergies and Thank you Benadryl!)

See you all for a much needed edition of Sunday Bunday!

Butterfly Dancer

Hello and happy, happy friday!

By now I am almost to my reservation which some of you know, is Mille Lacs. I'm off to pow wow it up! A pow wow is a HUGE Native American celebration.
Check out some awesome photos here if you're curious. There's tons of dancers and drummers and of course, food!
I'm a fancy shawl dancer and the nickname for fancy shawl dancers is butterfly dancers because of the way they twirl. Here's a video of a ton of fancy shawl dancers from the Gathering of Nations from this year.
I'll be sure to take tons of pictures to bring back with me and eat tons of frybread tacos for all of you!

As for my nail art I've mimicked the butterfly theme and matched the colors to my outfit.
Tada!

My first attempt at butterfly nails went terrible. This time I would say things went well!

I used
China Glaze - Fancy Pants and Turned up Turquiose  as the base colors
and
Kleancolor - Afternoon Picnic for the glitters
as well as Sally Hansen - Crystal Beading for the glittery details.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as I'll be dancing my butt off!

Troves of Triangles

Hey everybun.

Happy Wednesday!

I wasn't going to originally do nail arts for today, I was just going to do a swatch for Zoya - Jacqueline. Until I grabbed a paint brush and whipped out my acrylic paint. THAT,my friends, is how random nail arts happen.

Triangles! Yes, it really is a trove of triangles. I used a tiny striper brush and just kind of went at it with the triangles in acrylic paint.

And here is the swatch of Jacqueline that started it all!

Jacqueline is a pretty little nude cream. Above is 3 coats with Seche top coat. Come to think of it, I remember getting that little nick on my middle finger and that's the reason for the nail arts, because I was sad of the nick!

I'll be back Friday with possibly more nail arts...I haven't decided yet..Okay yeah, more nail arts!
