ColorMeSoCrazy Guest Post #1

Well here I am again. In Pennsylvania while lucky Leesha gets to go from cold Minnesota to nice, beautiful, warm Mexico. Lucky duck!! So, for my annual "I'm insanely jealous of Leesha and all I can do is whine about it" post I have decided to celebrate Mexico. I have a Mexican themed color homage as well as two inspired by Mexican art designs on my own blog ColorMeSoCrazy. Be sure to check it out.

I am so excited to do this and be able to post again for Leesha. She has been a great blogger friend and an excellent polish maker!! I wish her great fun and warm weather while she is in Mexico!

For this design, I used red, green and white- the colors of Mexico. I used stamping designs that remind me of the art and designs of Mexico. I have always enjoyed the skills of artists that create sugar skulls especially those that do them on nails! Such a small canvas. Well, I couldn't do that! haha. I just did the patterns that I gathered in painting of sugar skulls and applied them to my design.

So, here's to Leesha have a fantastic time in Mexico and me sitting here in Pennsylvania wishing I was on the beach!!

Colors Used:
NYC- High Line Green
Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby
Sinful Colors- Snow Me White
Wet n' Wild- Ebony Hates Chris

Guest Post - Polish Freshie

Hey everyone!
So It was brought to my attention that I had a guest post lined up that DID NOT GET POSTED! Actually, not just one but 2!
BLAGHHHH! This makes me sooooo angry!
Luckily I was wondering what I was to do because every one of my acrylics broke off and I've been running around like crazy, too busy to fix them. I hope you enjoy this post and thank you very much to Polish Freshie for doing this for me!

~~~
When I was approached to do a guest post as Leesha was going to be on vacation I thought what could be more appropriate than palm  trees? For me, the two go hand in hand (even if you're not going somewhere tropical :) ). I have all these great neons waiting to be  dragged out of the stash but I wasn't sure I wanted to use them for this mani. I then saw OPI Oy - Another Polish Joke! glinting at me  from the back of the helmer. This is absolutely one of my favorite polishes, the gold sparkles for days and has a nice, smooth finish. I  used three coats - there's still a bit of visible nail line on the longer nails with a lot of white tip.
For the accent nails I used a base of China Glaze Sunset Sail (another of my faves) and then sponged on Oy APJ!, Sunset Sail and  China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle. I went over the colors twice with the sponge. lastly, I stamped the palm trees from Bundle Monster plate  315 with Zoya Ibiza. Thanks for reading and if you are iclined to follow me, you can do so at http://PolishFreshie.Blogspot.com.
Thanks!
Freshie
Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Metallic Nails
Ohmygoodness I completely blanked Wednesday and forgot to make a post. Then on top of that I thought today was rainbow nails in the ER31DC! AND ON TOP OF THAT.. My Metallic nails flopped this week!
So without further ado, my sad, sad mani.
Sad little half formed flowers :(
Look at the sad little smudgin :(
The dark purple is CQ - Purple Quartz and the Pink is CQ - Berry Mocha
I learned 3 things in this nail fail
1) Metallic is the most DIFFICULT thing to capture! It's like am I gonna shimmer here? Am I gonna be all metallic over here? LOLNOPE you can't catch me!
2) (And as a side note this was my first ever stamping) Metallics aren't good at stamping..well at least this color wasn't. I'm sure there are plenty out there that stamp well.
3) Nail Fails are like the finger of the nail world. No matter how much you tried it's still a big $&^!  @!* to the face!
Let's hope the other ladies had better luck than I did. Check em out below as always!
