Color Club - Endless Summer

Hello Everybun!

Now I know my shop opening was supposed to be today, but unfortunately I've come down with the flu!
Out of ALL of the weeks to be sick WHY THIS ONE?!
That's all right, the fiddly last minute things still need to be sorted out.

Meanwhile, I thought I'd show you all the state of my nails since I've come back from Mexico.

That's right! Those are (sort of) my natural nails! I just put a thin layer of acrylic over them because I kid you not when I say my nails are flimsy and thin. I was constantly worrying about breaking them and when they hit even remotely warm water it HURT!
Also as most of you know, when you have acrylic nails, nail polish tends to stick longer to them which is a huge plus!

Aren't they cute?! They're just little baby squovals!
This is also my right hand because my ring finger on my left hand is a little too small for my liking.

As for the polish this is Color Club - Endless Summer.
Endless Summer
is such a pretty, squishy blue! This is two coats without top coat.

I'm back into the swing of polish things ya'll !

Guest Post - The Devil Wears Polish

This is the other post that did not get posted while I was away (angry! >_<)
I hope you all enjoy and thank you so much to the now, Devil Wears Polish , for this post!

~~~~
Hey peeps! I was excited to have the chance to write a guest post for Alicia, hope you enjoy! I’ve decided to use the opportunity to shamelessly promote my new polish venture! In just a few days Polished Dreams and Life Things blog and social accounts will become The Devil Wears Polish to promote my blog and new polish brand. No exact date, but I am planning to open my Etsy shop in early August and I’d like to show you some of the things that will be available. We shall start off with 2 of my crellies since they are so cute.  I plan to have a crelly trio listed, Get Your Pop Rocks Off will be one of those. Check it out yo…
I like dots if you can tell. Get Your Pop Rocks Off is a 3 coat yellow crelly with big teal and violet holo dots, small teal and light metallic green dots, and neon pink & green micro glitter. Just so I don’t have to repeat myself, all swatches in this post are 3 coats plus top coat. Get Your Pop Rocks Off is adorable. Next up I’ve got Girls Love To Blow…Bubbles. Isn’t that the best name ever? Credit goes out to my polish buddy Markie M aka Puzzle Polish, she also named Get Your Pop Rocks Off btw. Now let’s have a look see at my swatch…
I had to do a pink crelly. I’ve never been fond of the color, but that changed when I swatched Lacey by A Girl Obsessed. I’ve been loving all things pink since then. Girls Love To Blow…Bubbles has neon pink micro glitter mixed into the base, and you know I had to add some dots! We’ve got the same big dots that I used in GYPRO, with a few minor differences. There’s some teal squares and lots of fuchsia dots in 2 sizes, and I substituted pink matte hex for the light green dots. Now…I hope you’re drooling. If not, allow me to show you 2 jellies that will be available soon. First up is Merman Tracks, named by the hubs…
I had a hard time getting the lighting just right for this, but my swatch is dead-on color wise. Big teal holo dots and smaller teal dots float awesomely in a teal jelly base loaded with royal blue shimmer this is one of my favorite creations so far. I only used basecoat so I could demonstrate the colors, but I feel like this will be amazing with some teal or blue undies, maybe even white if you’re adventurous. Now let’s check out my favorite of all…her name is How’s Them Berries?
Obviously, I’ll have this and Merman Track duo sets listed on the shop. I had to make a purplish jelly because I am never quick enough to score Cosmic Forces. I wanted to recreate that look, while adding enough of my own uniqueness that it wouldn’t be considered a dupe. Me thinks me nailed it, and not to toot my own horn but, I love this one! I can’t wait to see how it looks over undies as well.
So there you have it folks, 4 of my yet-to-be released creations. Hope ya likey! I do J The Devil Wears Polish creations will range in price from $8.50-$9 depending on glitters used. I’ll also have a linear holo set, they’ll be available at $10 each or discounted rate for the whole collection. You can follow me on Facebook here for shop news, sneak peeks, and more. Now may I ask your opinions? Do you think I’m on the right track so far? What kind of polish collections would you want to see from me, more jellies and crellies? Feedback is appreciated, thanks for reading!
Guest Post - Polish Freshie
Hey everyone!
So It was brought to my attention that I had a guest post lined up that DID NOT GET POSTED! Actually, not just one but 2!
BLAGHHHH! This makes me sooooo angry!
Luckily I was wondering what I was to do because every one of my acrylics broke off and I've been running around like crazy, too busy to fix them. I hope you enjoy this post and thank you very much to Polish Freshie for doing this for me!
~~~

When I was approached to do a guest post as Leesha was going to be on vacation I thought what could be more appropriate than palm  trees? For me, the two go hand in hand (even if you're not going somewhere tropical :) ). I have all these great neons waiting to be  dragged out of the stash but I wasn't sure I wanted to use them for this mani. I then saw OPI Oy - Another Polish Joke! glinting at me  from the back of the helmer. This is absolutely one of my favorite polishes, the gold sparkles for days and has a nice, smooth finish. I  used three coats - there's still a bit of visible nail line on the longer nails with a lot of white tip.

For the accent nails I used a base of China Glaze Sunset Sail (another of my faves) and then sponged on Oy APJ!, Sunset Sail and  China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle. I went over the colors twice with the sponge. lastly, I stamped the palm trees from Bundle Monster plate  315 with Zoya Ibiza. Thanks for reading and if you are iclined to follow me, you can do so at http://PolishFreshie.Blogspot.com.

Thanks!

Freshie

Hellooooo down there!

Hello tiny ant people.
My first flight  was delayed yesterday which of course means we missed the second one so here I am.
On a plane.
In the sky..

We had a lovely stay in DFW though so I suppose it was more of an extended vacation than a burden.

In nail related news, 4 of my nails broke ! Just the acrylic though so I've got odd weird nails now.

I got a ton of nail stuff in Mexico! Acrylic powders, decorations and even some really cool nail magazines!

See you all soon!

Pokebawls

Yezzuh!
Hello everyone! Yes I am back today!

Unfortunately, I'm writing this post ahead of time because I know I'm going to be wayyy too tired to get a post up today.

It is of course a quick post because this has been sitting in my unposted folder for a while.

My cousin Tiana did some Pokeball nails on my cousin Minka and they turned out soooo cute!

Look at her tiny little hands!
She's going to be in 5th grade this year and much surpasses the smartness of the rest of her cousins and brother.

Enjoy the Bawls and have a bunderful day!
p.s. I hope to be back next week!

Quick Claire's Color

Okay, I know the title kind of doesn't make sense but I wanted it to be an alliteration!

Just as a reminder, I'm still in Mexico!

So I've had this sitting around for a little while, It's the unnamed Claire's Icing blue that I've used a few times for nail art and such.

This was only 1 coat and its such a pretty blue! This is with topcoat (Seche, of course). I got this from a lot on ebay and I don't see much of these polishes any more so I'm not even sure if they're still available.

At least you will all know what I'm talking about when I say my unamed blue Claire's, at least!

Guest Post #3 - Never Mind Suzi

Hello lovelies!

For those of you that don't know me I'm Steph from Never Mind Suzi.  The lovely Leesha asked me to do a guest post so I hope you enjoy...

I decided to stick with my signature mani - the Leopard Print.

Polishes Used:
OPI - Nail Envy
Delush Polish - All About Blue
Butter London - Brummie
Barry M Nail Art Pen - Black
Seche Vite -Topcoat
Purple Rhinestones

I'm a huge fan of Delush polish and this blue is stunning!  2 coats of this was perfect (over 2 coats of Nail Envy to prevent staining), I "splodged" some Brummie on top and used the Barry M Nail Art Pen to outline it and do random dots.  Since this is a guest post I thought you deserved a little "bling" so I added purple rhinestones to the spots.

Thanks again to Leesha for having me, I hope you're having a blast!

Guest Post #2 - Southern Sparkle Nail Art

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
My name is Samantha and I’m from Southern Sparkle Nail Art! Thank You Leesha for having me! Today I have a short and sweet review for you all of Barielle Falling Star.
Falling Star is a beautiful blue base with red glitter. Let’s be honest. In the bottle I hated it; I just didn't like the mix. I was completely WRONG. It’s gorgeous on!

It had a great dry time. I applied three thin coats and I was set! And, like always, I topped it off with top coat.
It is perfect for any complexion and it’s not a ‘seasonal’ polish. It is all about personal preference. If you like it, it’s all that matters! I’ll definitely be seeing this polish again in the fall.
Thank you for having me Leesha!

Guest Post #1 - ColorMeSoCrazy

So, I have recently met Leesha through a great opportunity to review some of her new polishes. Many of you may have seen my review here. If not, be sure to check it out as they are some really cool looking polishes.  I think the whole concept behind her shop and nail polish line is so creative and meaningful. Anyway, some of you may also know that she is a lucky duck this week and is in Mexico!!! I wish I was in Mexico! To pretend that I am in Mexico, I decided to do some Mexican nail art in celebration of her trip.I tried to attempt to recreate the seal in the middle of the flag about 5 bazillion times, but I couldn't get it. So, I know there should be symbol there, but I decided to just go for the color theme and not so much a real life mural.

Hope you enjoy and I am wishing Leesha an awesome time away!!

Hello and Goodbye - Vacay Nails!

Hello Everybun!

Confused by the title?
Well, It turns out that as you are reading this my plane has just taken off. I scheduled this post at the exact moment that it leaves. I am off to Mexico!

But have no fear! I have a bunch of posts scheduled, GUEST POSTS in fact!

So since I'm off on vacay, of course I had to do nails for the occasion!

My base color is Zoya - Mimi and the rest is all acrylic paint.

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to do Mexico nails or something cute and floral. As you can see I picked the latter.

I'll see you all in two weeks but as I said, Have no fear! Guest posts are going to be up as well as a few manis of mine that have been unposted for a while. Also, I usually post Monday, Wednesday, Friday and sometimes sunday but while I'm gone it will be Tuesday/Thursday only.

Regarding the guest posts, I know some people write a little bit before it but I'd like to let the posts talk for themselves, So as a precursor, THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO GUEST POSTED FOR ME!

Carry on !

Ellagee - Beam Me Up

Hello everybun!

Today I have my final review of the Ellagee polishes that I was sent. You can check out my other reviews here and here.

*Beam Me Up is a sheer gold top coat inspired by, of course, the Star Trek series. Again, you can find her offishal description here.

I wasn't sure what color to use as an undie so I picked whatever!
The Blue is an unamed Claire's
the Green is an unamed Color Club
 the White is Sinful colors - Snow Me White
and
 the pink is Sinful Colors - Island Coral

of course the top coat is Beam Me Up

As a top coat this is gorgeous. Application was smooth and of course it's beautiful just like the rest of the collection.

You can find Ellagee polishes HERE

Thank you to Laura for sending me these polishes to review!

*This polish was sent to me to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
