Julep - Joan French Tip

Once again, Happy Humpday everybun!

My first day of in-person college was yesterday and all went very well! This is actually my 3rd semester pursuing an A.A degree, in other words, generals, and I've done it all online so far which has been awesome!

But anyways, back to the nails. I decided a few nights ago to do a quick french tip because I couldn't think of anything else so I picked up the closest color which  happened to be Julep - Joan.

I'll be going to the great Minnesota get together tomorrow, The Minnesota State Fair so hopefully I don't scorch (thanks heat wave). See you all Friday!

Leesha's Lacquer - New items!

Hello everybun!
I have a very special announcement. Leesha's Lacquer has expanded! Leesha's Lacquer on Etsy that is.
I spent the past few nights brainstorming ideas for these babies!

Click on the pictures to check them out in my shop!

(p.s I'd like to give credit where credit is due! For the lego nails, my base idea came from this post over at Varnished Valkyrie. She gave me the idea but I went about the 3D a more of a permanent and different way. Super thanks to her though!)

Leopard Print Throwback

Hi everybun! It was 12:33am last night when I realized I missed Sunday Bunday and for that I apologize!

But I do have a bit of a throwback today. Remember this? Where I called it cheetah print yet it was actually leopard?
Well I thought I'd dabble with that design again, except this time I plan to call it what it actually is!

I used China Glaze - White Cap for the shimmer
 an unnamed Color Club green
and
Sinful Colors - Ebony Hates Chris

See you all again Wednesday. Also, college has started up again so I'll try to stay on top of my stuff but I have 5 classes to juggle!

Half a' Fishtail

Hello Everybun!

Happy, Happy Friday!
I'm at it, Night Blogging again!
Today I have a bit of a flashback. Remember this? Well I up and decided to recreate this again except this time I only did half a fishtail. (A bit lazy of me, no?)

As you may have suspected, I'm really lazy and have no intentions of running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to gather together the colors. However If anyone would like to know a specific color I'd be happy to go find it. Tomorrow. When I'm not so tired (Thank you Allergies and Thank you Benadryl!)

See you all for a much needed edition of Sunday Bunday!

Sinful Colors - What's Your Name Swatch

Hello Everybun and Happy Humpday!

I have a quick swatch for you here and that swatch would be Sinful Colors - What's Your Name.
I actually picked her up at Dollar Tree the other day. As well as the rest of their stock of Sinful Color polishes and a few Milani's (Addiction. I know!)

What's Your Name is a beautiful black based glittery wonder. This is 3 coats with Seche top coat. The bluish green shimmer that hits in certain lights is what really attracted me to it.

Since this is so vampy, this further proves that no matter what season or what colors are in, I DON'T CARE! I'll wear white after labor day and red and green on easter. Oh yeah. That's rebellion.

Just added 5 new Polishes to the shop!

And here they are!
Each picture links back to the listing on etsy if anyones interested!
As you can see I was in a polish making mood last night!

oh yeah and p.s the pictures are a bit crappy because I don't have my big fancy camera right now. I'll get it back tomorrow I believe so the pictures will definitely be updated soon with a better macro shot!

KKCenterhk N.NAIL Fantasy Rainbow Color Circle Pattern Nail Foil Transfer Review

Hey All.

Remember the Review I did awhile back of the bowties from KKCenterhk?
Well I have another review here and this time it's nail foils!
I've never done nail foils before so this was my first time.

*These Nail Foils, which you can find here, were sent to me with glue, which you can see below.

The First thing I did was paint my nails black as a base color and waited for them to completely dry.

Next I applied the glue which is in a handy little nail polish bottle.

Then I took the nail foil, pattern side up, and pressed them to my dry nails. You'll know when you're nails are dry when the glue turns from white to transparent. IT IS CRUCIAL to remember to apply the foil with the pattern side up. I applied them pattern side down at least 3 times before I figured out to turn the around and bam!

You have pretty foil-y nails!

Besides the obvious failure on my part the nail foils applied gorgeously! Of course I had just a few patchy spots but after an hour attempting these the wrong way, when I finally got them to go one I cbf to touch up the little areas. (not to mention my camera died halfway through photos.)

These Nail Foils retail for $7.69 for a container or $12.00 for a container with glue.

Butterfly Dancer

Hello and happy, happy friday!

By now I am almost to my reservation which some of you know, is Mille Lacs. I'm off to pow wow it up! A pow wow is a HUGE Native American celebration.
Check out some awesome photos here if you're curious. There's tons of dancers and drummers and of course, food!
I'm a fancy shawl dancer and the nickname for fancy shawl dancers is butterfly dancers because of the way they twirl. Here's a video of a ton of fancy shawl dancers from the Gathering of Nations from this year.
I'll be sure to take tons of pictures to bring back with me and eat tons of frybread tacos for all of you!

As for my nail art I've mimicked the butterfly theme and matched the colors to my outfit.
Tada!

My first attempt at butterfly nails went terrible. This time I would say things went well!

I used
China Glaze - Fancy Pants and Turned up Turquiose  as the base colors
and
Kleancolor - Afternoon Picnic for the glitters
as well as Sally Hansen - Crystal Beading for the glittery details.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as I'll be dancing my butt off!

Blue Bissu Swatch

Hi Lovelies!

I was looking through my unposted file the other day and realized that I had a mani from Mexico!

I discovered a new to me brand called Bissu, which seemed to be a big brand in Mexico because it was everywhere in Al Centro (downtown). Of course I scooped up as many as I could take. In fact I should probably do a haul post because I got tons of nail things in Mexico!

Natural lighting = the BEST!

This is two coats over purple. Why over purple? Because I wanted to paint my nails purple but then I remembered that my nails were JUST purple so I decided to put on this pretty little blue.
It almost looks holographic in the sunlight, but as far as I remember the only time it did that was in direct sun, otherwise it was just a shimmery blue.
It also has no name. Boo :(
Some of them do though, its fun because the names are in spanish!

In other news I'll be away this weekend. I posted this today because I will be gone this weekend to a Pow Wow and my nails are naked because I want my pow wow nails to last (Hello last minute mani!). I'll schedule a  post for my pow wow nails on Friday and then I'll see you all again Monday!

Pure Ice - Irreplaceable

Hello Everybun!

There's Good news and Bad news. The Bad news is that I was unable to post Friday and Sunday. The good news is that I made $111 from the garage sale that I had Friday thru Sunday! I'm sure those of you that have held garage sales know that it's absolutely EXHAUSTING to have to pull everything out, set it up, sit all day and then put it away and start back all over again the next day.
I was able to sneak in a quick mani, thankfully, with an untried polish that I got from a recent haul.

Can you tell that she was hard to capture?!

Irreplaceable is a black jelly with bits of black glitter, silver glitter and large silver hexes. This is 3 coats on its own. Over black I'm certain only one coat will do but for the sake of experimentation I was curious to see how many coats it would actually take! Of course I added a nice coat of Seche Vite to top it off.

The formula was good, On the first coat it looked a little odd because of how little the opacity was. It looked almost gray and the small black glitter, which you can't see very much in this picture, stand out a lot. After a thick second coat and a third for certainty, there were still patchy spots which is why experimenting with base colors with this would be awesome!

So now I'm off to play animal crossing on my 3DS because I'm sure my town is now overgrown with weeds! See you all Wednesday!

p.s My dommie hand's ready for her close up so no more leftie after today! YAY QUALITY PICTURES! YAY FOR NO MORE AWKWARD POSING!

Troves of Triangles

Hey everybun.

Happy Wednesday!

I wasn't going to originally do nail arts for today, I was just going to do a swatch for Zoya - Jacqueline. Until I grabbed a paint brush and whipped out my acrylic paint. THAT,my friends, is how random nail arts happen.

Triangles! Yes, it really is a trove of triangles. I used a tiny striper brush and just kind of went at it with the triangles in acrylic paint.

And here is the swatch of Jacqueline that started it all!

Jacqueline is a pretty little nude cream. Above is 3 coats with Seche top coat. Come to think of it, I remember getting that little nick on my middle finger and that's the reason for the nail arts, because I was sad of the nick!

I'll be back Friday with possibly more nail arts...I haven't decided yet..Okay yeah, more nail arts!

Julep - Tracy

Hello everybunny

My left hand ring finger is still a little wonky so swatches will have to suffice until I pull out some awesome nail arts.

Meanwhile let's have a lookey loo at Julep - Tracy!

I had NO IDEA that this was a sea salt texture polish. My first thought when I grabbed this from my stash was OOO SHINY! This is 2 coats, but I didn't want a texture so...

..BOOM! I added top coat which definitely did not take away the texture but made it a lot more shiny. Without top coat however, dry time was fast and Tracy really is a beautiful, purple texture coat.

I'll be back wednesday with another lovely swatch!
