Guest Post #3 - gigithegirly - New Years Nails!

Hey all buns, It's gigithegirly here for Leesha, and I have an awesomely sparkly, pretty new years eve nail look. It's nice and classy but has all the sparkle that you could want for new years!
So I'm sure we've all seen a reverse french manicure but here it is in all the glitter! This look is awesomely easy to reproduce. All polishes used are OPI. So I first started with a 2 base coats of OPI Ink and then one good coat of Temptation (designer series) and did my half moons in In True Stefani Fashion and finished it all off with a top coat.

This look will go awesomely with my little black dress and some dramatic makeup as I ring in the new year :)
So what did your new year nails look like?

Thank you so much for this lovely (and festive) guest post!
Everybun be sure to check out her blog HERE!

Guest Post #2 - WorkingWithMonolids - Notoriously Morbid Swatches

Hello everybun, this time our guest post is from Cora of workingwithmonolids. You all know indie nail polish is a thing (I sure do hope!), but did you know about indie eyeshadow? Well soon you will! Thank you so much Cora! Now to the post!
______________________
I'd like to introduce everyone to an indie store that makes eyeshadows, Notoriously Morbid. Like many awesome indie stores, they're cruelty free. They do have some non-vegan colours though!

Packaging-wise, the mini sizes doesn't come with a sifter seal, and the labels are just printed paper and therefore, not waterproof. So packaging-wise, they're just functional.

I now do ingredient checks on my indie eyeshadows, and I did notice they have colours contained no binders at all:

Screenshot taken on Nov 16, 2014

However, I out of a random sample of 20 colours and only found 1 colour that didn't contain any binders. For my check, what I did was open 20 colours in a row without looking at the colour/name/description and then reading the ingredients. It's not the most perfect method but it gives you a rough idea. So for most part, I think it's safe to purchase from them as long as you check the ingredients. For a guide to ingredients and why you need binders in eyeshadows, you can check out my post here.

So here are the swatches! The swatches on the right is under natural light, the one on the left is under artificial light to show off the shift.

Over Darling Girl's Glitter Glue:

The Grand Empress actually turns blue as you blend it out!

Over NYX's HD Eye Primer

Applied foiled with water (like all pigmented loose powder shadows, this method can be staining):

There's no mistake. Melancholy One turns blue when applied wet, I was surprised too.

Now this is where I'm impressed...over bare skin:

Glinda the Good Witch! Nail Art Part II

Hey everybun!
One of my most popular post seems to be this one, from over a year ago with some Wizard of Oz nail art. I did some Glinda the Good Witch nails, and looking back, I feel that my nail art skills have improved vastly, and so has my photography.
For the funs of it, I decided to recreate this look to compare the two!

Bloggers Wanted. Also, HELLO!

EVERYBUN!
HULLO!
It's so nice to say hello to you all once again. Holidays = omfgwtfbusy, and things are barely starting to settle down here at Leesha's Lacquer HQ. I HAVE been doing my nails, it's just that I keep telling myself to take a pic, but end up never doing so!
Unfortunately, even though it's slowing down, I will be leaving out of the country Christmas - New Years, just like I did last year so the blog will still be a bit empty.
But that's where my lovely blogger friends come in!

IF YOU'RE A BLOGGER, SHOOT ME AN EMAIL LEESHASLACQUER@OUTLOOK.COM TO GUEST POST FOR ME!

I don't want to leave this blog this dead for this long, so I'll do my hardest to search for some awesome bloggers to guest post for me while I'm gone.

Meanwhile, If you're wondering WHAT I've been so busy with, here are just a few things new at Leesha's Lacquer!

Thanks for reading everybun!

Sinful Colors - Matte About Blue Swatch and Review

Hey everybun! Happy Bunday Monday.
As I said last week, I have weeks worth of polish to stored up in my polish folder. We'll be starting with this little lovely by Sinful Colors, Matte about Blue.
My local K-Mart is closing down and everything is 30% off, and you'll NEVER guess what I gravitated towards. Can you guess? If your answer is anything but polish, then you're wrong!
I was very interested to see that Sinful Colors had a matte/silk collection and this was the last one on the shelf!

Sinful Colors Strawberry Nail Art

*I received this polish compliments of Influenster from the DLVoxBox

Hey everybun. It's been an absolutely CRAZY week! I took a little break from everything to work on recuperating from the craziness of the craft show this weekend. I have lots of nail things to show you next week, and this Friday Finds will NOT be posted since I haven't had time to look for finds this week.
Anyways, now that that's out of the way. Ready for some nail art?
I received this polish in my DL Vox box, which I was so excited to see because polish is right up my alley (duh!)

Leesha's Lacquer - A Look Back

Hello Everybun!
Happy Humpday!

I just finished my craft show this past weekend, and just as I thought I was ready to wind down, I looked at my calendar and realized - I HAVE ANOTHER CRAFT SHOW COMING UP! October 11th, is the date, so here I am again, prepping for the upcoming show!
This leaves me little time to do my nails (they're currently naked, I know, how could I!)
So I thought today would be a bunderful day to take a look back at some of my favorite designs I've ever done, with this collage that I made.

KKCenterHK - Leopard Water Decal Review

Hey everybun
Happy, Tuesday!
You must excuse my late post, because hot damn is this semester hard. The tests! The quizzes! O' Athena, spare me some smarts!
Anyways, enough with the dramatics, let's get it on...To the review..

These darn water decals have been sitting, taunting me for months. Why? You ask? Well ,the first time I attempted to put them on, I managed to get them off the white backing, but for some reason there was an added plastic backing between the decal and the white backing.
I hadn't figured this out until recently, and every time I'd attempt to use these, they just wouldn't work.
Finally, I FORCED two of them off, after ruining 4, I decided to just stick to a simple mani.
