Glinda the Good Witch! Nail Art Part II

Hey everybun!
One of my most popular post seems to be this one, from over a year ago with some Wizard of Oz nail art. I did some Glinda the Good Witch nails, and looking back, I feel that my nail art skills have improved vastly, and so has my photography.
For the funs of it, I decided to recreate this look to compare the two!

Sally Hansen Ooh La La Ombre Gold- Happy Birthday to ME!

Hello everyone!
It's my birthday today, woo woo!
I had some birthday nails planned out yesterday, but they didn't work out so here is birthday mani #2!

From Left to Right : Golden I, Coin Flip and Spark in the Dark

As the title says, This is a pack of three polishes called Ooh La La Ombre Glittery Gold. It comes with all the polishes you see above. I was actually pretty sad, I really did sponge Coin Flip onto Golden I but you can't see it at all in these pictures, much less real life. The colors are too dupe-ish, so the effect doesn't really work.
Oh well, Woe is me I guess, I still really like the way this looks on the nails, even though the effect wasn't achieved.
Have a happy Friday ya'll!

Color Blocking

Look who's back! Its me!
I had finals all of last week and I still have a few left to go this week. I couldn't even think about doing any nail art with all of my studying going on, but now things are winding down and I'm back into the swing of things.
I have some color blocking nail art that was completely unplanned and sort of made up as I went along , but it came out cute in the end, so all is well that ends well, right?

I have a ton of nail art plans in my mind and Ill be pouring them out to make up for lost time!
See you all soon!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello all!

I usually don't post on Thursdays, but today is Independence day for the USA so I, of course, had to do nail art to mark the occasion.

The Colors I used were
Sally Hansen - Tough Love
China Glaze - Man Hunt
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
The glitters I used were
Sinful Colors - Nail Junkie
Shimmer - Ava
Wet n Wild - Kaleidascope
Sally Hansen - Crystal Beading

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Sally Hansen - Anemone of Mine and Zoya - Trixie Gradient

Hello lovelies!

I am back! Back with a beautiful, gorgeous gradient. Okay actually it isn't my best...the photos came out all blurry and the gradient didn't sponge that well but it's all I got at the moment. Hopefully you will think it's much prettier than I do!

The Purple is Sally Hansen - Anemone of Mine
The Silver is Zoya - Trixie

These new Sally Hansen bottles are soo pretty but the brushes are kind of wide which made for weird application. And as usual Zoya worked beautifully, even with my crappy sponging.

Sometimes I don't know what to say at the end of blog posts so I leave you with this terrible, awful joke.

This morning I tried to catch some fog, I mist.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat - Razzleberry Vs. China Glaze Texture - In The Rough

Hello lovelies, I feel terrible because lately I haven't been doing the ER31DC!
I've been so busy with my polish stuff besides doing a full cleaning of the house and taking care of the new bun, life has been hectic lately!
What I DID manage to do was a quick polish and comparison of the China Glaze Texture and Sally Hansen Sugar Coat that I picked up the other day.

Behold!

This is two coats of each. The Sugar Coat is the Blue one and the Texture is the green one.

Formula wise, the Sugar Coat was more textured in the bottle, but thinner and easier to work with. The Texture was thicker and harder to work with.

Sugar Coat was much more, well, sugary! It had a better feel to it. While Texture was textured, but had a patchy issue where some spots would be more textured than others and you can kind of see that in the picture above.

Overall they're both really nice, despite some of the problems with the China Glaze, the color is lovely and in the end the results payout. The Sugar Coat was a lovely surprise since I've heard some odd things about the formula, to me it was great if not a bit better than the China Glaze. BUT as I suspected, the blue DOES STAIN. So use a base coat.

What do you guys like more? China Glaze's Texture or Sally Hansen's Sugar Coat? Have you tried them out yet?

Black Glitter Gradient - Sparkly, Sparkly!

Hello lovelys! Happy Monday!

It's true.. Once you start the gradient you just don't stop!
The following glitter gradient truly was never meant to be. I was totally going for an edgy punk rock look and somehow transformed it into WOO LET'S GO TO THE CLUB * obnoxious house music*

The black is Nina Ultra pro
The glitters are Wet n Wild - Kaleidoscope
and
Sally Hansen - Twinkle, Twinkle

Despite this mani not turning out the way I wanted it too, I'm happy with the final product!

Oh gradients..my new love!

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 10, Gradient Nails

Hello Dearest Readers!

When I saw that today in the ER31DC was Gradient nails I both inwardly cringed and outwardly sighed. I've never done gradient nails before!
I was terrified, I wasn't sure that they would turn out , but alas , I conquered my fear and went in for the kill!

Tada!

I used a sponge that I found at my local dollar tree
The darkest color is Tailored Creme - Sally Hansen
and
the lightest is Confetti -Lonesome Dove
Then I used a dotting tool to put some clouds on this gloomy gradient with Julie G- Blueberry Fizz

How did I go from one day being sunny and flowery and the next gloomy and cloudy?! The difference a day makes I guess!

Check out the other ladies Gradient nails below, as always!

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 2

I know I said I'd do this post later in the evening but I stayed up all night and now I have little to do, so why not post this now?

I'm officially on track now and the girls are already rolling out the orange's, so here's mine! :

The base Orange is Wet n Wild - Sunny Side Up
The sparkly orange is Sally Hansen - Moonlit Dance
and the dark orange is Bonita , which doesn't have a name and when that happens I become namer of the polishes. Usually I'm pretty boring with polish naming and I decided to boringly call this one Orange. So Bonita - Orange it is!

I love me a nice tape design to make things look snazzy. (Oh how I've wished to throw that word into a post for such a long time!)

Be sure to check out the others below!

Cheetah Print Nail Art

Today we have some nail art that inspired me to start this blog in the first place. My inspiration came from This post over at Top Coat It. I LOVED the color combo so I couldn't help but recreate it myself!

The colors I used were :

Wet n Wild - Ebony Hates Chris, which was my black

Spoiled - Distant Memory, which looked shimmery blue in the bottle but turned out to be more creme in real life.

and

Sally Hansen - Crystal Beading , I knew after finishing the cheetah print it needed something more and I just so happened to see this out and the open and BAM! there it was.

I topped this all off with Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat.

I love me some cheetah print, zebra print, any print! The more out there it is, the more on my nails it should be!
Since next week is valentines day, I've been brain storming nail art ideas and I have a few that I'm really excited to try! Expect to see a Love Bomb of nail art next week!

Have a great weekend!
