Freehand Mermaid Nail Art

Hello all and Happy Sunday Bunday!
Along with the bun buns that I have for you today, I decided to do some mermaid scale nail art. I've done this design before on a couple of nail sets in my shop and decided to try it out on my real nails.
Though, it was a sad day, because my black migi nail art pen got backed up and whilst trying to clean it out, I accidently broke the little needle cleaner..in the pen..So it's a big ol' useless tube of polish now.
I already had the polish on and ready before I realized my dilemma, so came a gel pen to the rescue!

I used Zoya - Mimi and Zoya - Charla, both from the Sparkle Collection and then whipped out my gel pen and BAM, mermaid scales!

Have a wonderful Sunday Bunday everybun!

OPI - Alcatraz Rocks and NEW CAMERA!

Hey everyone!
If you've checked my Facebook recently you would have seen the adorable picture of the buns. You also would have heard that I got a brand new Nikon D3200. These are some of the first nail shots I've gotten with them and I feel that this polish was a perfect first test shot. All of that texture really helped me work out the settings and I am in LOVE with the quality of the pictures!

I'm not sure how ya'll feel about the bigger picture size but with all of the details that the camera captured , I might have to go back to the bigger size!
Anyways, enough about the camera, let's get to the polish! This is OPI - Alcatraz Rocks, a textured Blurple that was a part of OPI's San Francisco Collection. I love the rainbowy multi-faceted look that this polish gives off. The texture is wonderful as well, it's not too rough and I noticed with 3 days of wear the texture actually wears down quite a bit.

Over all, This polish is on key for every day or even special occasions. I'm also super happy with the current quality of my pictures... now, to redo the blog to a quality that I'd like!

P.S, Have the cutie bun pic that I was talking about at the top of this post!

Dirty Pig Bath and Beauty Haul

Hey everyone, I know this is a bit of a different post because it's not directly nail polish related. BUT it is beauty related and it is a haul so I thought I'd post it anyway!
I recently discovered Dirty Pig and was instantly drawn to the adorable name. Dirty Pig is based in Nova Scotia but their shipping rates weren't to bad at all for the U.S with Free Shipping with over $100 worth of stuff and $10 shipping for over $50 worth of stuff. It didn't take me long to pick out a viable amount of Dirty Pig goodies, and here's what I got!

2 Bath Fizzes, A Grape Fruit Spritzer Soap bar and Mango Papaya Bath Oil

Lip Kisses in Blush Red, Orange Creamiscle and Grapefruit

Grapefruit Hair Mask, Witchy Hazel Skin Toner and Kaolin Clay and Charcoal Mask
So Far I've only used the lip kisses and I'm in love! The products all came very professionally wrapped and I LOVE the labels. I can tell a lot of care is put into the making, packaging and creating of these products.
Over all I'm very impressed with Dirty Pig and I'm happy to have some of their goodies!

KKCenterhk Review - Butterfly and Flower Water Decal

*This product was sent to me for review in exchange for my honest opinion

Hello everyone! Looks like my scheduled posts for last Wednesday and Friday didn't show up, so here's one of the two!

Today I have some really pretty water decals from KKCenterhk.
Since my last decal review, I knew I wanted to have a crack at reviewing some more decals. These are sooo easy to use and you can refer to my last post if you'd like to know the technicalities of how to apply these. The design I got this time is N.NAIL Glamorous Noble Elegant Purple Blue Rose Butterfly.

This was the sheet I was sent and I was immediately excited to put these on. The flowers are so detailed and the butterflies were a nice added touch.

I used my own Dragon's Wings as a base coat and an unnamed Black Poppy as the accent nail.
These decals, just like the bunnies, applied wonderfully and this time I used my expertise and managed not to have any of the images crumple into little balls!
These decals are $2.56 and if you don't like this specific design they have TONS of flower designs as well as many other designs to your liking.

KKCenterhk Review - Nail Foil

*This product was sent to me to review in exchange for my honest opinion
I have a few days that Bloggers weren't able to guest post for me, due to the fast pace of the seasons, so it looks like you're stuck with me for a few more scheduled posts until I'll be back for real real and not for play play! Enjoy!

Today I have some awesome nail foils that I've grown to love from KKCenterhk. You can find these foils here.
I decided to take a different approach with the nail foils this time and paint on a random pattern with the tacky glue that they sent me. If you're curious on how to apply these, check my other post here.

Gold foil over a Black Base color

I added a coat of Seche Vite onto these and noticed that the star pattern that you see in the bottle sort of shrivels up to give a cool rustic look to the gold pattern. Remember to always use top coat with nail foil, otherwise it starts to peel off and that's never fun!
I'm so happy with the gorgeous gold painted look that these foils achieved and they literally took less than 10 minutes (most of the time was spent waiting for the glue to dry!)
You can get The Foil for $6.92
The Foil + A Smaller Glue for $8.86
The Foil + Glue for $10.80

The Polish Diva Guest Post #4

Hey guys! I am happy to be a guest post for Leesha’s Lacquers today! I love her brand and her polishes and when she contacted me about doing a guest post for her blog while she was on vacation, I was excited!

Today I have decided to show you guys a really pretty polish that I swatched as part of a larger post for my blog. It is so pretty in my eyes, I thought you guys should see it by itself!

This is LA Colors Caribbean Pink! This is a sheer, shimmery light pink polish with a little bit of duochrome-ness to it. I did three coats for this swatch.

It goes on nicely and finishes to a semi-matte, semi-glossy finish. I just love the look of this color a lot, it is just soft and pretty.

LA Colors retails for $1 in dollar stores and $1.29 in drugstores and super stores, and around here in Hawaii it is $1.49/$1.69.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed my short little post and the swatch and maybe it will make you want to purchase this polish. If you do, please show me on my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/thepolishdiva, or even just here in comments which I am sure Leesha won’t mind seeing herself!

Never Mind Suzi Guest Post #3

Hello lovelies!

I'm back!  When Alicia asked me to guest on her blog again I was very happy to be asked. I even think it's helped to give me my mojo back a bit.

I decided to have a wee bit of a play with some nice nail art decals I bought in Penny's (Primark) in Dublin.

I started by painting my nails with the stunning Cygnus Loop from I ❤️ NP.  A beautiful duochrome that flashes blue and purple. Such majestic colours.

I chose these decals as they remind me of ice and they too have a duochrome effect. Almost pearlescent.

These nails are so pretty and winters, they'll look fab peeking out of my (fingerless) gloves as I enjoy the last day of the Christmas Market

Hope you've enjoyed my guest post and I hope that Alicia is enjoying her holiday.

Don't forget to check me out on:

Thanks Steph
